Let's have a vote: PCM, DTS, Dolby Digital, or Pro Logic II. What is your preferred audio format?

They all have their pros and cons. PCM sounds great to me when playing PS4 video games. Dolby Digital has more of that "VERROOOMMM!" and "WWOOOSSH" and "POW! POW! POW!" than the others. DTS seems to have more detail between the 200hz - 18,000hz but lacks at producing sound at the lower and higher ends of the sound range. I've had Pro Logic II pop up when using my TV's native Netflix app while connected to optical. Overall, it sounds good, but to me there is no real distinctive sound that I can compare it to the others with.
Top Comment: Uh, why are you not listing Dolby TrueHd and DTS HD Master Audio? Why would you not pick lossless formats instead of compressed? And PCM is nothing more than raw sound stream and can be either lossy or lossless. PCM that's been decoded from DTS or Dolby Digital won't sound any different than if you're going to bitstream it. I also have no idea what the heck you're talking about with DTS "lacking" lower and higher end frequencies. That's just completely in your head. DTS as a lossy format was always superior to Dolby Digital because the bitrate is much higher, so again you thinking that Dolby Digital is somehow better for explosions is completely untrue. And Pro Logic? That's ancient tech. No one should even be listening to that now. Bizarre post.
